LIVERPOOL FC

Assalamu alaikum

  1. Last weekend was the crucial match between Liverpool and Man Utd. Liverpool had a string of losses and if they lose this match, it will some record for them as they never been beaten 5 times in a row in recent history.
  2. MU is on a winning streak, winning all their matches so far, only lost one meeting this season. Even though they did not play as good as last season, they are a well balance team and of course, the referee was always on their side (Man City wont forget the 6 additional minutes given to MU).
  3. In my previous postings, I was unhappy with Rafa and his selection of players, namely Lucas and some under perform players. I was hoping that Liverpool would lose this game and Rafa will be shown the exit door.
  4. But the fact that I am an avid Liverpool fan, I cant help but needed Liverpool to win this tie. Firstly, its MU. The bragging rights are too good to lose, and secondly, I dont want to go to office and let all those devils pointing fingers at me.
  5. Come Sunday night, and the game started. It was a balanced game but most of the time, Liverpool was attacking.
  6. so lets cut the story short, Liverpool managed to win it with a 2 goal margin. But being MU, their loser manager, blame it on the refereeing, the crowd and many other things. He just could not accept that Liverpool was a better team that night and the better team won. Simple as that.
  7. Some of the devils posted their views on facebook, stating that Liverpool is still number 5 in the league and all those nonsense. But a win is a win, and winning against arch rivals like MU, Chelsea, Arsenal are an achievement.
  8. SO MY DEAR LIVERPOOL FANS, CHIN UP! WE WON AGAINST THE ARROGANT DEVILS.
  9. We hope that Liverpool will continue this style of play and be in contention to win the league for the 19th time.
  10. As always, the most famous tagline in the whole world belongs to us..."you'll never walk alone..."
till then...

IN JB

Assalamu alaikum

  1. I am in my hometown Johor Bahru now, tagged along the whole family. And that includes the new addition, my lovely little princess, Siti Ulfah Begum.
  2. Its been a while now since I came to my mom house, as on many occasion, my mom would be up in KL most of the time.
  3. I got sick couple of days ago and I've not been sick for quite some time. But Alhamdulillah. I am glad to know that I am NOT mortal, and ALLAH is paying close attention to me, reminding me that sometimes I forget to say THANK YOU to HIM.
  4. I will be in JB for about a week, before dragging myself back to work. It has been busy lately with some introduction of some new products and systems. Been traveling a lot though, and did not keep track on my food intake. So I figured that must be the reason I fall sick.
  5. Still recuperating, as I am not fully fit. But rest assured, InsyaAllah I will be back on my feet again in no time.
  6. Touching on Liverpool FC, its just heart breaking to know that they lost 4 games in a row, the last they did that was in 1987 season. So really wanted Mr Banitez to go, as he is out of ideas.
  7. You cant be too reliant on Stevie G and Torres all the time, and I guess now he realised it when the duo was out of action against Sunderland. They paid the price with the bizarre goal. They called in the 'Beach Ball Gate' incident.
  8. I just got to know that my former ustaz, Mohd Nazri Chik has his own website. I managed to read some of his postings and its very interesting. Anybody who is interested, can do so by clicking to www.nazrichik.com.
  9. Last week, we moved to a new office in Damansara. I shall not go into the trouble of explaining on transportation, food, and other facilities, but I just wanna say how much I will miss our old office, Darul Takaful. Since i started my career in Bank Islam 10 years ago, it has been Darul all the time.
  10. Thank you for all the memories.
Till then...

Child Birth, Eid & My Princess

Assalamu alaikum

  1. I had my first son in May 2007. It was such a beautiful experience having him after waiting for 9 months.
  2. Prior to my son's birth, as a first time father-to-be, I took the effort to read up about babies development, child birth, and much more. I need the information to prepare myself into fatherhood.
  3. But little did I realize that what you read and watch on TV (imagine watching baby delivered every week on Discovery Channel...gulp!!) is not necessarily gonna happen the same way. I had a absurd child birth experience.
  4. My wife, Suzie, was in labour for about 5 hours, when she was screaming in pain. So we decided (not my call this time, coz I'm not feeling the pain...she is...hehehehe) to take the epidural injection.
  5. Suddenly, the nurse told us that the baby is ready to come out! What??!!! Now??!! But...where's the doctor?? Guess what?? the doctor is caught in a massive jam!!!
  6. The nurse who was attending my wife panicked!! Basic stuff like suction, some tubes, cotton were not ready!! So what you do when you panicked?? She yelled.."Tahan, jgn keluar dulu.." (hold on, dont let the baby out)!!!! What??!! how can you 'hold' such a thing from coming out??
  7. I was panicked too. I held my wife hand, read some prayers and to my HORROR, the baby came out by himself!!! Blup!! straight on the bed. The attending nurse saw it and grab the baby. Luckily my son did not fell off the bed. But where is my doctor??? Yupp!! still in the jam!
  8. Finally after 10 minutes after delivery, another doctor came to the rescue. Phew! What a relief. Such an experience.
  9. Now, 2 plus years later, I am expecting my second baby. With such an experience with the first, I was hoping to get a better labour experience. Unfortunately, it was similar.
  10. Not as grueling as the first, this time the doctor came in time, but after I saw the baby head coming out, no one was in the labour room, not even the nurse!
  11. We manage to pull through this time without much difficulties. And it was in the holy month of Ramadhan. Full of blessings.
  12. I got this special present from Allah for Eid, a beautiful princess to add cheer and joy in our life. Thank you ALLAH, for all that You have given us.
  13. My princess, SITI ULFAH BEGUM, I pray that you grow into an obedient girl to ALLAH, to His Rasul, to your Ummi and to me, Ameen.
  14. Eid was tiring for me as I was on the road most of the time. KL-Jeram- Tg. Karang-KL. Phew! But it was worth it. Either road I ended up, I have my Mom & family members and also my wife and my two angles.
  15. My wife is in confinement now. And I am missing all of them...
till then...

Ramadhan Ya Marhaban

Assalamu alaikum

  1. Alhamdulillah, once again ALLAH has chosen us (including me) to be able to participate in this special month, the holy month of Ramadhan, where the rewards are huge and the barakah is unlimited.
  2. Some of our muslim friends did not get the opportunity to experience and gain the Ramadhan rewards, as ALLAH loves them and took them off to meet Him. Al-fatihah for those who has left us...
  3. I know its a little bit too late to talk about ramadhan, but since we are still in it, might as well remind ourselves that the ultimate goal is taqwa;
  4. Will we be able to sustain the routine we set during Ramadhan or its just being Ramadhan that we change ourselves;
  5. I set a couple of things before entering Ramadhan. less watching tv, less talking about nothing, not to miss subuh prayers in masjid, be able to get full terawikh this time at the masjid, read Quran as often as I can, jemaah in all the 5 solah time, etc;
  6. I must say that I have achieved 80% of the targeted objectives, but one thing remain the ultimate goal; the Lailatul Qadr. Ya Allah, let me get Lailatul Qadr this time....
  7. I am also expecting another baby (not coming from my tummy of course), insyaAllah by this holy month of Ramadhan. This will be my second kid, the first being a boy of 2 years;
  8. I pray everyday to ALLAH so that the Ummi and baby will be fine during delivery. insyaAllah;
  9. attached is a doa i got from watching Dr Fadzillah Kamsah's Anjakan Paradigma programme. Some of you may already know the doa, but we shall be reminded often..
  10. This doa is called the 12 door to opening our rezeki, so lets use this doa during this holy month and insyaAllah we will be rewarded.

Familiarization with Bangi & Kajang

Assalamu alaikum

  1. Last Saturday was a great outing with my wife and son.
  2. We decided to take a drive to Kajang and Bangi to get used to the ways there.
  3. We left after Zohor and took the Cheras Kajang highway, paid Rm1.90 toll and drove into Kajang town.
  4. Quite heavy traffic but we managed to locate sate kajang, next to the stadium. We drove straight to Bangi and found our way to Alam Sari.
  5. Since the bridge connecting the main road to our house is open to access, we drove in and spent some time there for planning. I hope we can build a swimming pool there!
  6. Then i remembered my friend has a cafe in Bangi. So we called him and met at his cafe.
  7. I have to say I am impressed with the selection of dishes and the pricing. Slightly below par with other cafe in terms of pricing. I love the ABC (comes with durian & ice cream) and the cauliflower chicken...hehehee. Congrats Nik. A good setup indeed.
  8. Then we are off back to Kajang to have the famous sate in Malaysia. Parking was a hassle, but the sate was a pleasure. Will definitely come again.
  9. We call it a day at about 10pm, driving back to Pandan Jaya. Deep down in my heart, it was a good outing for us.
  10. Filled with food, delicious food that is, the company was amazing and i was telling my wife " I will be comfortable in Bangi."..

Birthdays, Happy Days & Water Canon Tear Gas Day

Assalamu alaikum

Birthdays

  1. July. In my phone calender there are a full list of birthdays to celebrate and wish. Special birthday wish to my father in law, Surianti, kak Imah (sis in law), Norman, Ramzu, Hasni (my dearest friend), Syafii (my buddy), Naz (my lovely sis), Yazid (good friend), and some friends or family members whom I left out. May ALLAH shower His blessings onto you.
  2. 22 July, my birthday. Thanks to everybody for their well wishes. I got a watch and a perfume for my birthday and not forgetting all the cakes. My sis cooked biryani and my wife took me out for lunch at Chilli's. Yummy. Make me fat, ladies!
  3. Then comes this story. My car had problems on the eve of my birthday. I was close to devastated. How was I suppose to take my family out for a treat?? It gave me some thought though, that the car is at its 6th year now and it needs some 'repairs', just like me. With history of some major sickness, I should be doing some 'repairs' before its too late.!
  4. Nevertheless, I had an enjoyable day for my birthday. Whacking all the food that comes to my plate. Yummy!!
Happy Days

  1. On 26th of July, Liverpool FC came to Singapore for their Asian Tour. I was excited as this will be the first time I will be watching my favourite team playing live.
  2. I requested my cousin to get me the tickets and they did manage to do so.
  3. On Saturday, they had a boat tour along the Singapore river. I lost my voice shouting for names. Carragher, Torres, Alonso, Riera to name a few. My cousin & I even chased the entourage to the other side of the area (dont know the place as am not familiar with Singapore).
  4. On Sunday, the friendly match between Singapore national side and Loverppol starts at 7pm, but we were there at 4pm!
  5. We got burn but it was a well worth burn, man! Cheers and shoutings and jumping and singing...had a SUPERB time.
  6. And of course there are 2 donkeys that came to the stadium using a MU jersey. He was lucky he did not get bashed up. Kudos to the security who took him away. WE HATE MU.
  7. With all the hype, i still miss my captain marvel, the great Stevie G, whom had to attend to a court hearing in UK. But with Torres and friends around, the adrenalin keeps pumping.
  8. Special thanks to my 1st cousin, Abg Haniff & Sis Rose for the tickets. 2nd cousin, Zansheer. Had a blast with u bro...happy to do it again with you...anytime...
  9. Liverpool FC...thank you for coming. YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE...

Water Canon & Tear Gas Day

  1. Malaysian police are known to be very poor in dealing with crowds.
  2. Some quaters wanted to send a memorandum to the King and the abolishment of Internal Security Act (ISA), which detain people wihtout trial.
  3. So they went out to the streets, gather around and walk towards the Istana.
  4. However, the police are not so fond of people getting on the roads for a walk. They would rather control traffic of that of cars, buses, lories and so forth.
  5. So when the police panicked, they start to use water canon & tear gas to disperse the crowd. How lame!
  6. The crowd did not throw any molotov cocktail, nor burn anything. They just want to walk on the roads in KL.
  7. And its sickening to see that BECAUSE of the water canon spray and the tear gas, many of the traders stuff got broken. and guess what, the police is blaming the public.
  8. Malaysia Boleh!

a little bit here and there

MOM @ WORK

  1. Ater dinner, while my family was relaxing and watching tv, my dear son wanted to play his helicopter toy.
  2. This particular helicopter was broken a couple of weeks ago, thanks to my genius son whom eventually smashed it on the floor after it did not work;
  3. So after throwing tantrums for 10 minutes, my wife decided to take the heli and was trying to fix it;
  4. I was watching it from far, and i knew ( from my heli crash smash experience), it could not be fixed;
  5. But i am amazed how mothers would try their best for their children, even becoming a technician to repair stuff. There was a dedicated look on her face as she was trying to figure out how to fix it. "how the hell am i suppose to fix this things", she wondered.
  6. Mom @ work, at its best.
MALAYSIAN DRIVERS

  1. I was travelling back from my hometown on the highway and i noticed that some Malaysian drivers are selfish and dumb!
  2. I was on the fast lane overtaking a vehicle, when i saw this guy from the back flashing his lights asking me to move coz he was fast and wanted to overtake;
  3. how the hell am i suppose to do that when i am overtaking?? Am i suppose to brake like hell, and give him way?, knock over the car next to me? stupid drivers.
  4. Really stupid. I would normally wait for the front car to finish his overtaking and if the dumbo does not move when there's no vehicle on the left, then i will flash, my lights that is.
SISTER'S INSPIRATION

  1. When i started to blog a couple of years ago, it was merely following the trend at that time;
  2. Then i was on/off with blogging, as i got less time to update my postings. And again, i resume blogging with new blog name;
  3. Last week my sis sms me and told me to read her blog, as she dedicated a posting to my late dad, on his 13th year death anniversary. I manage to find the time to read it and to my suprise, my sis is an active blogger herself;
  4. I saw a full list of postings from 2007, in which i was not following since. But now, i became a follower and i will definitely read my sis blog.
  5. Its an inspiration to read her blog and i will try my best to get regular posting on mine as well.

till then..

  2. Invited our baby sitter, sister and in-laws. The cake theme is Sponge Bob Square Pants, since it is his favourite cartoon character.
  3. He had a blast playing balloons with his cousins, running about the area and of course, shouting out loud.
  4. Special mention to my dearest wife, who even with her big tummy, managed to pull through the night.
  5. Thanks all for sharing our joy and excitement.

Here & There

Assalamu alaikum

PERAK DARUL RIDZUAN

  1. Recently, the High Court ruled that the lawful Menteri Besar of Perak is Dato' Seri Nizar. It send shock waves throughout the country. It suprises everyone as this rarely happens.
  2. Couple of hours later, the BN govt went to the Court of Appeal to ask for a stay of execution and they got it in a matter of minutes. Again, rarely happen as it will take days, weeks and months to get a hearing date in this court.
  3. A day later, the Oppostion team went to the Court of Appeal to appeal on the stay of execution and guess what??? their case will be heard after 5 days!!! Go figure.

UZAIR'S BIRTHDAY

  1. This weekend will be my son 2nd birthday. During his 1st birthday, we did not throw him a party, so this time we decide to do one. But not a party, just a small gathering amongst us family members.
  2. We will be taking him to PD and let him enjoy the pool there. He loves the water. I will post some pic in the next posting.

TRAP & GENTING HIGHLAND

Assalamu aliakum

  1. Last weekend I took my mom and family for a day trip to TRAP. It is short for Taman Rekreasi Air Panas, in Sg. Klah, Sungkai, Perak. We left early at about 7am, stopped at Sg. Buloh rest area and had breakfast and shoot off to the destination.
  2. It took us about an hour or so to reach our destination. The weather was hot and so was the water, obviously. Thousands of people flock the area and mostly are Chinese.
  3. Prior to visiting this place, I did some browsing on the net and was very impressed. but when I got there, they said that the big hot water pool was under construction! How unpleasent and dissapointed. They should have updated it on their webpage.
  4. So the only big pool they have is the mountain water pool, cold pool that is. Similar to the ones in Sunway Lagoon and Desa Waterpark.
  5. But they also have the small pool to dip your leg in, and it was HOT!! My niece and mom nearly fainted. Luckily I was there to offer a helping hand and use all the knowledge I got from watching Discovery Channel. First aid helps, and TV too.
  6. The big pool (mountain water) was really cool. Not a deep pool, a max of 4 feet. The kiddos enjoyed themselves.
  7. We were out of there at about 2pm, and still feeling very hot!!
  8. The next day, we went up to Genting Highlands and when we arrived, the weather was windy and misty. Shiok!!! All of us enjoyed it.
  9. Managed to play indoor games, had lunch, late lunchthat is, and out of there by 7pm. The journey from Genting to KL was a very challenging.
  10. The mist was so bad, visibility was less that 1 metre. But since I am an F1 fan, an avid follower of the sport, watching every F1 race, I can say that i got some know-how on handling situation like that!
  11. It was a great outing and we had great fun. ENJOY THE PIC.

Sister oh! Sister

Assalamu alaikum

  1. My sis is an English language lecturer in one of the local Matriculation College in Melaka. And being a lecturer, she always try to find ways to correct the English usage of the family members at any given time.
  2. I am SURE she would be SMS-ing me about my level of English in my blog. I am still waiting for the call or SMS but so far, I have not got any. But don't worry, the call will come eventually.
  3. It is a good thing, though, to have somebody to correct the usage of English. My dearest sister has done so for as long as I can remember. For this, I thank you.
  4. As for Malaysia, they are still undecided whether to use the English language for Science and Maths in schools.
  5. In my opinion, the level of English in urban and rural areas in Malaysia must be at the same standards and level. If not, the urban kids will have the advantage over their rural counterparts.
  6. This would be unjust to the rural kids, as most of them are Malays, where the level of English is already low.

Being a Responsible Blogger

assalamu alaikum
  1. I had a blog that i started somewhere in 2007. Since at that time it was a trend, i tot it would be nice if i had one too. I wanted to share about my life, my family, some opinion on the political scenario in Malaysia.
  2. Since then, i posted couple of topic but mostly i just did not have the time to update the blog as i did not have a full internet access.
  3. So recently i bought a netbook together with a broadband, and i said to myself, let's try to blog again.
  4. Eventually i had difficulties in logging in the old blog but managed to do so somehow. So i decided to delete the old blog and start afresh.
  5. I am a frequent visitor to chedet.cc, a blog by the former Prime Minister of Malaysia and i am comfortable with his setup of the blog. so i decided to copy his way of sending information using the numbering system. Thank you chedet.cc.
  6. When i had the intention to blog again, i guess ALLAH SWT wanted to remind me something. I was browsing thru zaharuddin.net, a popular blog amongst muslim as he frequently discussed current issues in daily life, i noticed an interesting topic he was discussing.
  7. One of his posting was the responsibilities of a blogger. In summary, he mention that a blog is not just telling stories, sharing thoughts, updating events that happened to you and family, but a good and responsible blogger should carry information and guidance in order for the readers to benefit by it.
  8. So, InsyaAllah, i will try my best to be a responsible blogger and give as much as i can so that my readers would be able to take something out of it and help them in one way or another.
  9. For a start, this is rather a long posting, as i was mumbling about my problem with my old blog. I will try to make my next posting a little shorter, if possible.
till then...
